Why Are You So Tired?

21 January 2009 4 Comments

What you eat, how much or little you move around and how you handle stress are the key indicators as to how energized you feel each day. Rather than focus on raising your energy levels for one day, focus on achieving and maintaining consistent energy levels everyday. By following these simple, yet effective energy boosting tips, you can be assured you’ll be able to get through your busy, demanding day without incidence.

Dealing with Stress

Stress isn’t all bad; it’s how you handle it that causes the issues. No one is immune to stress. It comes from many sources including job, family, bills, friends and just plain ole dealing with everyday life. But how does this rob you of energy and how can you combat it?

Stress raises blood pressure and body temperature, interferes with metabolism, digestion, sexuality, fertility and sleep. Whoa! That’s a lot to contend with. No wonder you’re dragging by midday, your energy is drained from having to deal with all those issues.

Next time you feel yourself getting stressed out try these stress busters.
• Breathe Deeply: Put the tip of your tongue against the ridge behind your upper teeth. Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound. Then inhale deeply through your nose for a count of four, hold your breath for a count of seven and exhale through your mouth for a count of eight. Repeat for a total of four breaths.
• Stay in the Present: Anxiety is an attempt, by your mind, to control the outcome of a situation before it occurs. Remaining in the present and only thinking about what is happening now, helps to keep you calm.

Move Around

Regular exercise boosts your energy by causing your body to condition itself to make optimal use of its two primary fuel sources; oxygen and glucose. The more active you are, the better your circulation will be; the better your circulation, the more energy you’ll have to complete your daily tasks. Try these tactics to keep you energized all day.
• Give Your Body a Break: If you sit all day, get up, take a break and walk around every hour or so. The change of scenery and fresh air will do you good.
• Stand Up: When you’re on the phone, stand up and pace around the room.
• Move More: If you’re on your feet all day, your energy can still wane, so hit the stairs and run or walk a couple flights or do lunges to the copying machine. Make sure to follow with some leg stretches.

What are You Eating?

The issue with eating, for most people, isn’t too much, its not eating enough of the right foods. Take breakfast, it’s the single, most important thing you can do to help keep you energized all day. I do mean a real breakfast that contains carbs and protein. These nutrients not only give you long-lasting energy, but they also boost concentration levels. A doughnut and coffee does not count! This type of “meal” sets you up with a temporary energy rush and leaves you feeling sluggish.

Start the day off right with these breakfast ideas that are quick and easy to make:
• Cereal: I like Kashi GoLean Crunch, it tastes great and gives you a lot of bang for the buc. Add some lowfat or skim milk and berries. (I like to put in all three: straw, blue and black)
• Eggs: Personally, I like to eat 2 whole eggs with 1 egg white. You can add one slice of whole wheat toast. If time is short, boil the eggs the night before.
• Fiber: How about some oatmeal and raisins? Not the flavored oatmeal, the plain one, add some Splenda, if you need to have it sweet. If you like it buttery, use “I can’t believe its not butter.” Drink a glass of milk and you’re all set.

It’s easy for me to say “Make sure you eat enough of the right stuff.”, but what does that really mean and how do you do it? Would you like to learn how to make better meal choices? How to manage your weight from now on and not worry about what to do to lose weight?

If you answered yes, then please join me for my Free Teleseminar, How to Lose Weight, One Pound at a Time. I will teach you how to chose the correct foods you need and how to maintain your weight for good. If you’re ready, Click Here now to get more information and to register.

Nice and concise introduction in how to get rid of tiredness but about body sculpting, honestly and in my opinion ,I don’t recommended for a woman.I feel like you lost your femininity and what is left (beside soul) is a mass of muscle. No ofence. But everybody is free to choose what he/she wants.

Funny I was chatting with a friend about this just the other day, we share the same views.

Have you got any recommendation relating to muscle building supplements? There are just so many out there hard to choose a specific one.

    Hi Pricilla,
I know exactly what you mean and it can get confusing, check out the supplement section of my website, 8-Time Mr. Olympia Lee Haney gives a break down of what each of his supplements do. I use his line and it works really great for me. Let me know what you think.

And thank you for your great question, I am sure others would like to know this same information.
