Re-conditioning yourself for Better Health
Earlier this week, I accompanied my granddaughter to her first day of school. There was such wonderment in her eyes. I could fee the excitement for her. Oh to be in that place again!
But I realized that it is at this point that the conditioning really kicks in. She is now a part of something that will begin to shape her physically, mentally and emotionally for the rest of her life.
Do you ever think about your own conditioning? Why do you do what you do when you do it? Why you think as you do? It’s all because of your conditioning. And if that conditioning has caused you to neglect some important aspects in your life, such as your health, it’s time to get Re-conditioned.
Your health is your most important asset, not your car, your home, your job or your portfolio. If you don’t have your health, it is nearly impossible to enjoy all the other aspects of your life.
Take a gut check right now, are you carrying around extra weight as a result of habits that you have maintained for much longer than you care to remember?

Do you exercise regularly or constantly put it off until “tomorrow” or “next week”?

Do you eat on a regular schedule or just when you’re famished?

Do you know what your bodyfat, weight or BMI are? Do you know why they matter?

When is the last time you made your health a priority and took steps to re-condition what you do on a day-to-day basis?
It’s not too late, you can take control of your health and re-condition your behavior to get off the unhealthy track and start enjoying your life.
Start with one thing and gradually add more as you see changes.
If you aren’t exercising at all right now, you may not be able to commit to 3 times per week for one hour. However, you can do 2 times per week for 30 minutes and then increase the frequency as you get stronger.
Next is your diet. Start by deciding to eat something every 3 to 4 hours. In my experience as a personal trainer, just getting my clients to eat on a regular basis is half the battle. I can’t stress enough how important feeding your body on a regular basis is, just do it! You will start to see the rewards soon enough.
Yes, you are conditioned to do certain things at certain times, in a certain way. But if what you are doing right now is detrimental to your health, Stop It! and get yourself re-conditioned.
