Mrs. Annette Hughes, LMSW, CSSW, BA is the President & Founder of Social Concepts & Development Services (SCADS). Mrs. Hughes received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Clark College, now known as Clark Atlanta University and her Master of Social Work from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York.
Mrs. Hughes has received extensive training through the Dewitt Wallace Initiative, Administration for Children Services (NYC), and Georgia Department of Children and Family Services, to name a few. She has also received certifications from Georgia Professional Standards Commission as a Certified School Social Worker, Certificate of Completion for Stepping Stones to Recovery from Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities for assisting adults who are in need of housing, Social Security Disability Income (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI). She received numerous continuing education credits in Social Work in New York and the State of Georgia.
She is a current member of the National Association of Social Work (NASW) and Cobb Interfaith Partnership (CIP). Mrs. Hughes and the team understand the importance of making all the difference between an ok experience and an AMAZING one.
She is also one of the founders of Wellness Day South Cobb
Several organizations that serve the residents of Austell, Georgia and the South Cobb community joined forces to observe National Wellness Week in the city in a way that would engage and energize the entire community. “Wellness Day South Cobb” was staged at Collar Park in Austell on September 20, 2014. The all-day event was launched with an inaugural 5K Race and Walk that wound through some of Austell’s most picturesque neighborhoods and scenery.
