Around this time of the year you start to see all these women who have lost literally tons of weight talking about how they did it. It may seem like they had to be super women in order to do it, but they aren’t. They’re real women just like you and me. The only difference between you and them is that they’ve achieved the goal you’re still chasing after. But, that’s the past. Your future is bright and light. Light meaning you don’t have to continue carrying around that extra weight. It’s time to LOSE IT!
The best part about losing the weight using the plan that I’ll lay out for you is that you won’t be able to use being busy as an excuse anymore. I’m going to show you the secret that other busy moms use to finally get the weight off and look awesome in their sexy, slim body.
The Secret to Weight Loss That Works
The secret is to workout at home. Working out at home crushes the number one excuse most of you use for not working out: not being able to get to the gym.
By working out at home, you don’t have to take any extra time to drive to the gym, figure out who’s going to watch the kids or even how you’ll get dinner ready in time.
Now just because you are a busy mom, doesn’t mean that you have to have young kids at home. Your kids can be grown, but you still have responsibilities to take care of what going to the gym might get in the way of.
Planning Your Workouts
In order to ensure you have time to get your workouts in, you’ll have to actually sit down and create your workout plan.
First, decide when you’ll workout. Will it be in the morning before everyone gets out of bed?
Then you’ll have to decide what you’ll do; including how many sets and reps and which exercises you’ll perform.
The most effective workouts involve doing all the exercises and strength training moves first. This will get your body warmed up so that your muscles are ready to workout and get sculpted.
After you have completed your strength training moves, which should take you about 30 minutes, you should move right into cardiovascular training (or cardio). Since you’ve just completed 30 minutes of strength moves that have essentially set your muscles on fire and burned off a lot of the carbohydrates or sugars that are stored in your muscles, your body is now ready to burn the fat.
That’s why you do cardio AFTER you perform the weight lifting, to allow your body the opportunity to get warmed up so it can now burn off the fat.
Second, you’ll want to decide where you’re going to perform your workouts. The equipment that you’ll need for the strength training part is pretty minimal: your own body, a stability ball, an all-in-one dumbbell set and a mat. This equipment list is small enough to be stored away pretty easily.
You’ll also need one large piece of equipment for your cardio workout. I recommend the Bowflex TreadClimber.
Even if you don’t have a dedicated fitness room, you can claim a fitness or workout area to use while you workout. Just remember to put away your toys when you are done.
Finally, you’ll need to record all this information into your planner so you can track what you are doing and determine what works and what needs tweaking. I recommend using MyFitnessPal.com. You can access it online or via your mobile device.
